A Father's Love for His Little Girl Led Him to the Cause
Hope Solution Organization is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization formed in Baltimore, Maryland, in April 2005.  The organization was established to reduce the damaging  effects of lead and metal poison in disproportionally affected inner-city children.

Hope Solution's early activities were dedicated to developing dietary supplements to detoxify lead and other metals from the body, and support cognitive development. These products are now patented and marketed under the brand names "Detox" and "Brilliance." 

The organization's newest phase of activity is making the products available to the vast majority of children who need them, but whose families cannot afford them, in inner-city events starting in Baltimore.

It all began when the organization's founder, T. "Haleem" Abdul-Rahman,  of Baltimore became concerned about the health of his newly adopted two-year-old daughter. She lacked concentration, was hyperactive and aggressive at school. She performed poorly academically. She tested at almost twice the threshold of elevated blood levels, with a lead level of 17 micrograms per deciliter.  (A level of 25 micrograms per deciliter is considered to be "lead poisoned." However any contamination that reaches 5 micrograms per deciliter is considered cause for concern.)

Haleem knew about the problem as an informed citizen and through the 11 years he spent as a mentor in public schools.

First pursuing traditional medicine, the family consulted doctors, who advised the family to place their daughter on medications such as Ritalin, to treat the behavioral symptoms. They did not believe her system could be restored because once a brain cell is destroyed, it is not repairable.  Unlike other parts of the body, brain cells do not regenerate.  

Haleem did not dispute the claim, but continued to wonder, "WHAT ABOUT THOSE CELLS THAT ARE NOT DEAD, BUT RATHER UNHEALTHY AS A RESULT OF TOXIN CONTAMINATION?"

He approached an herbalist with the task of discovering a SAFE, ALL-NATURAL YET EFFECTIVE approach to the problem.

After being administered the products her father's research uncovered over a period of the next eight years, the little girl's behavior  improved remarkably. She is an above average student, making "As" "Bs" and "Cs." She can apply herself and strive for and realize what every child is due equally  -- his or her full human potential.

Haleem Abdul-Rahman sought a safe, all natural remedy to remove lead at the cellular level and improve cognitive functioning in his daughter.

Lead deposits itself in the bone matrix, which the body recognizes the same way it recognizes calcium. But while calcium works to make the body stronger, lead disrupts the body's ability to absorb nutrients. It resides in the blood, the soft tissues of the brain and eyes, and all the way into the bone matrix.

The first priority was to find a way to detoxify at all levels.

Research lead to the mineral EDTA, a chelator. A chelator acts to bind with toxic heavy metals and elimination via the stool. Other herbs and minerals were added to create a synergistic effect, bringing healing to the body. Giving the body nutrients it has been deprived of enlists an intelligent mechanism to help the body heal itself.

After tackling the issue of detoxification, the team looked at other combinations if natural supplements to bring restoration to the once-deprived cells, especially the brain cells. The primary goal was to increase cell-to-cell capacity and neurotransmission activity.
